Dune Messiah Wraps, and the Spice Must Flow Again

After five years and two films that redefined what big-budget science fiction could look like, Villeneuve confirmed the wrap this week. The third chapter shoots for December release.

The first film landed with complete control; Dune Part Two sharpened that into something rawer and more politically ugly. The expectation now is that Messiah, which adapts the darkest stretch of Herbert's novel, won't soften that edge.
