Ako Mitchell
Ako Mitchell is an actor.
The stage is the career here, and the screen credits are a poor guide to it. Mitchell is an American actor based in London who has worked at the Donmar Warehouse, appeared opposite Patina Miller in Sister Act at the London Palladium, and took the title role in Klook's Last Stand at the Park Theatre, which brought him an Off West End nomination for Best Actor. He was also cast as Lenny Henry's brother in the West End production of Fences.
He directs as well. His short film I'm in the corner with the bluebells, which he co-wrote, played the international shorts competition at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2014.
On camera the record is three titles: a part in the late sequel Lake Placid: The Final Chapter, a role credited as Charlie in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and an uncredited turn in the British horror film Daddy's Head. Anyone arriving from the Marvel picture should know that the stage is where the actual career is, and that a filmography this short says more about how screen credits get recorded than about how much he works.

Where to start with Ako Mitchell
There is not much of a screen route in, and it would be dishonest to pretend otherwise. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is how most people will have seen him, in a part that lasts about as long as it takes to read this sentence. Lake Placid: The Final Chapter is a late entry in a creature-feature series and asks nothing of anyone. Daddy's Head is the only one of the three worth an evening on its own terms, a quiet British horror film in which his contribution goes uncredited. His real work is on London stages, so the honest recommendation is to watch what he appears in next rather than what is already filed here.
