Bill Clinton
Bill Clinton is an actor, born 1946.
Nobody assembled this filmography on purpose. Bill Clinton was the 42nd president of the United States from 1993 to 2001, having previously served as attorney general of Arkansas and as the state's governor across two nonconsecutive stretches, and his centrist "Third Way" politics became known as Clintonism. What that produced, cinematically, is dozens of credits in which he is listed, again and again, as "Self (archive footage)".
Read as a filmography, the list is really a map of what American documentary does with a president. Michael Moore alone accounts for five entries: Bowling for Columbine, Fahrenheit 9/11, Sicko, Capitalism: A Love Story and Fahrenheit 11/9. 13th places him inside the history of American mass incarceration. Elsewhere he is the establishment cutaway, the clip that establishes what the official position was at the time, in Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room, HyperNormalisation, LA 92, The Inventor and Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich. Very little of it is flattering, and none of it is meant to be. Archive footage is how documentaries assign responsibility without saying so out loud.
A smaller group of credits carries no archive-footage note at all, meaning he actually sat down for them: RBG, the climate film Before the Flood, the food documentary Fed Up, and The Last Dance. He also appears as himself, uncredited, in the 1996 family comedy First Kid. The overall shape is a man who left office in 2001 and has been continuously re-edited ever since.

Where to start with Bill Clinton
The Last Dance is the friendliest entry point, because it is the rare case where he is a witness to something other than his own presidency and is genuinely good value on camera.
For the argumentative version, Bowling for Columbine and 13th show the two dominant modes: the clip used as evidence, and the clip used as indictment. Watching them close together is instructive about how much editorial weight a few seconds of tape can carry.
RBG and Before the Flood have him speaking to camera in the present tense, which is a different register entirely and worth the contrast.
Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room and HyperNormalisation use him as period texture rather than as a subject, and Sicko is the one where the archive is deployed most pointedly against the man in it.
