Brandon Firla
Brandon Firla is an actor.
Brandon Firla is a Calgary-born Canadian comic actor with London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art training and a self-written biography that is mostly a joke about rejection, unpredictable income and general anxiety, which tells you the register he works in.
Canadian television came first, including the legal sitcom Billable Hours, and then Little Mosque on the Prairie, where he joined in the fourth season as the new Anglican priest in town, Reverend William Thorne. His best-known part outside Canada is Jonathan Sidwell, the investment banker in Suits, on a production that shot in Toronto after he had moved to Los Angeles, an irony he has pointed out himself.
The film credits are scattered and mostly small: Grimaldi in Man of the Year, an officer in the Christmas horror comedy Santa's Slay, a double role as Jimmy and Johnny in I'll Follow You Down, and Brock in Stay. He writes and performs comedy with his brother, including the satirical musicals SARSical and An Inconvenient Musical.

Where to start with Brandon Firla
Take Suits first: he plays the banker smooth rather than smug, which is the harder choice and the reason the character lands at all.
For the Canadian work, Little Mosque on the Prairie gives him a wider canvas as a new priest in a small town, and more screen time than anything else here. I'll Follow You Down is the straightest dramatic role, and it doubles him. After that you are into curiosities: Santa's Slay for horror comedy played completely deadpan, Man of the Year for a small part in a big studio satire, and Stay for the most recent thing on the list.
