Brett Wagner
No biography reaches us for Brett Wagner, so the credits have to do the talking, and they are consistent enough to describe the job. He plays big men at the edge of the frame: a bouncer in Sleepover, a biker in Machine Gun Preacher, Nazi Joe in Big Stan, Tiny in ChromeSkull: Laid to Rest 2, a clown in Bedeviled, a monster in AWOL-72.
The named parts are Jesse in The Crazies, Doc in Happy Hunting and Max Grady in Midnight Maniac. The credits here run from The Players Club in 1998 through to a 2026 sequel, which is a long time to keep getting the call.

Where to start with Brett Wagner
Nothing here is built around him, so pick the film and enjoy the sighting. The Crazies is the best-made picture on the list by a distance, a tight small-town outbreak thriller, and his Jesse gets a proper scene rather than a walk-on. Bicentennial Man is the oddest entry, a sentimental science-fiction drama with a robot delivery man somewhere in it. Machine Gun Preacher and The Happytime Murders are the two studio titles and could hardly be less alike. For the low-budget horror shelf where most of this work lives, Happy Hunting is the sharpest, and John Dies at the End is comfortably the funniest.
