Courtney Eaton is an actor, born 1996.
Modelling came first, and then her acting debut was Mad Max: Fury Road, which is an absurd place to begin. She plays Cheedo the Fragile, one of the five women in the back of the war rig, in a film that does most of its communicating through movement rather than dialogue. Most first jobs teach an actor how to hit a mark; that one taught her how to work inside spectacle.
What followed was rockier. Gods of Egypt in 2016 was a very expensive misfire, and the years after it are a run of small independent films, Newness, Status Update, Line of Duty and Parachute, that few people saw. The career did not really restart until Yellowjackets, where she plays the teenage Lottie Matthews and has to build, in the 1990s timeline, the foundations of a person the present-day timeline has already shown you. It is a genuinely difficult acting assignment and the best work in a short filmography.
Seven credits is not much to judge on, and the honest summary is that the range is still unproven. What is clear is that she is at her best when the camera stays on her face and the script gives her nothing to hide behind.

Where to start with Courtney Eaton
Yellowjackets is the reason to be here. Her Lottie is the most demanding part she has been handed, and the split-timeline structure means every choice she makes has to survive comparison with an adult version of the character. Watch that first and the rest becomes optional.
After that, Mad Max: Fury Road is worth revisiting with her in mind, since it is easy to miss individual performances inside that machine and Cheedo has a real arc buried in the chaos. Parachute is the small film that shows what she can do with an ordinary contemporary role. Newness is for the curious.
Gods of Egypt is skippable, and nothing that went wrong with it was her doing.
