Daniel David Stewart

Daniel David Stewart is an actor.

The theatre came first here, and it shows in the screen work. Daniel David Stewart provided the voice of Ernst in the 2015 Broadway revival of Spring Awakening, then originated the role of Papi in the world premiere of The Band's Visit at the Atlantic Theater Company in 2016. That is a strong pair of credits to hold before most audiences know your name.

Screen work followed. He played Milo Minderbinder in the 2019 Hulu miniseries Catch-22, directed by George Clooney, and it remains the best part he has had. Minderbinder is Heller's great capitalist parasite, a supply officer who converts a war into a business, and the role rewards exactly the chirpy amorality Stewart is good at. From 2021 to 2022 he played the NASA astronaut Nick Corrado in the Apple TV science fiction series For All Mankind, which is not among the credits listed here.

The rest is character work in genre: Steven Eliot in Reacher, Max in Silk Road, Zeke in Red Right Hand, Stamell in the 2020 Fugitive series. Two 2026 titles, Memory of a Killer and Love Language, are next.

Where to start with Daniel David Stewart

Catch-22 first, and it is not a close call. Milo Minderbinder is one of the great comic monsters in American fiction, and Stewart plays him without a wink, which is the only way the joke lands; the miniseries around him is uneven, that thread is not.

After that, Reacher is the easiest watch, a large, blunt pleasure in which he does precise, nervy work in a small role. Silk Road is the interesting failure, a dark-web drama with more ambition than shape. Red Right Hand and The Fugitive are for completists. Memory of a Killer and Love Language, both listed for 2026, are where to look next.
