Dariush Kashani is an American film, stage and television actor whose reputation was made in theatres: he played Hassan Asfour in the Broadway production of Oslo, and his other credits include the Broadway musical The Band's Visit, The Invisible Hand at New York Theatre Workshop, and a Tony Kushner play.
What is here on screen is the other half of that working life, and it is slight: a translator in the 2008 surveillance thriller Eagle Eye, a doctor in the 2007 Fox series Drive, and a guest part in Ghost Whisperer. Three credits is a thin file for an actor whose main body of work happens in rooms nobody films.

Where to start with Dariush Kashani
There is not much to route through, so take the three in order of scale. Eagle Eye comes first: a loud, silly, well-made surveillance thriller, and his translator arrives at the point where the machinery of the plot has to be explained to somebody.
Drive is the more interesting curiosity, a 2007 Fox series built around an illegal cross-country race, with a small and stubborn following that has kept talking about it ever since; his Dr. Roth belongs to that. Ghost Whisperer is a network procedural guest slot and plays exactly the way you would expect.
