Geri Halliwell-Horner
Geri Halliwell-Horner is an actor, born 1972.
Halliwell-Horner became famous as Ginger Spice, and the image that fixed her there is a Union Jack dress at the 1997 Brit Awards, which turned out to be more durable pop iconography than most of the records around it. She was the member most closely identified with the group's girl power slogan, and in 1998 she was the one who left, citing exhaustion and creative differences. She returned for the 2007 greatest hits reunion and its tour, and again for the Spice World tour in 2019.
The screen career is a side project and she has never pretended otherwise. Spice World in 1997 is a document of a moment rather than a performance. Fat Slags in 2004 and Crank: High Voltage in 2009 are curiosities, and a good part of the remaining screen record is television as herself: Parkinson, Richard & Judy, Top of the Pops Saturday, the Brit Awards, plus a cameo on the supermarket sitcom Trollied.
Gran Turismo in 2023 is the interesting one. Playing Lesley Mardenborough, she gives a straight, unshowy supporting turn in a mainstream sports film, with no wink to the audience and no reliance on the persona, which is the first time the acting has had to stand on its own. She writes books as well, which a filmography has no way of showing.

Where to start with Geri Halliwell-Horner
For the acting, go to Gran Turismo. It is a supporting parental role in a big studio film, played without a trace of the pop persona, and comfortably the most convincing thing she has done on screen.
For the phenomenon, go to Spice World. It is not a good film and was never trying to be. It is an artefact of 1997 and completely honest about that.
Then the curiosities. Crank: High Voltage drops her into a film with no interest in restraint, Trollied is a pleasant British sitcom cameo, and Fat Slags is best left alone unless you are working through the whole list. Parkinson is the place to hear her talk rather than act.
