Gwendoline Yeo
Gwendoline Yeo is an actor, born 1977.
Singapore to California in 1988, then sitcoms: Grounded for Life, The Random Years, a run on Watching Ellie. On camera Yeo is best known for Dr. Kelly Lee on General Hospital and Xiao-Mei on Desperate Housewives, neither of which is among the credits gathered here, and for the western miniseries Broken Trail.
The voice work is the real body of the career, and it is a large one. Nala Se runs across Star Wars: The Clone Wars and The Bad Batch, which is rarer than it sounds, since most animated Star Wars parts do not survive a change of series. DC and Marvel have used her repeatedly: Lola Chong in both halves of Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Mercy in The Batman, Domino in Wolverine and the X-Men, Blu in Green Lantern: Emerald Knights, Li Mei in The Invincible Iron Man. Where to start with Gwendoline Yeo
For the voice work at full stretch, take Star Wars: The Clone Wars and then Star Wars: The Bad Batch, where Nala Se grows across two series into something closer to a character than a function. Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 1 is the best-made thing she appears in, and the animation is worth the time on its own terms.
Green Lantern: Emerald Knights and The Invincible Iron Man are lesser DC and Marvel entries where the voice cast is doing more work than the script. For live action, Broken Trail is the pick: a serious western miniseries with a real part in it for her. The Jane Austen Book Club is the pleasant option, and Yasuke is the odd one out and the most stylish thing on the list.
