Jake Farrow
Jake Farrow is a writer, born 1978.
His best-known performance is a puppet. Farrow is a writer first: Fox's Arrested Development, two WB comedies in Off Centre and What I Like About You, and then a long Nickelodeon run as writer and producer across Drake & Josh, iCarly, Victorious, Sam & Cat, Henry Danger, Game Shakers and Danger Force. That is a decade and a half of one network's comedy output, almost all of it invisible to the people watching it.
The acting credits are the side effect of the day job, and they are odder than the writing. He turned up as Gavin on Drake & Josh and used the same name again on iCarly. He voiced Invisible Brad on Henry Danger, a character whose defining trait is not being seen. And he gave Rex Powers a personality: the ventriloquist dummy that Robbie Shapiro drags through Victorious, played with a nasal contempt for everyone in the room, and left uncredited on the series itself. Millions of viewers can do the voice. Almost none of them could name him. For a man who has retired from acting and kept writing, that seems close to the intended arrangement.

Where to start with Jake Farrow
Watch Victorious for Rex, though watch is the wrong verb for a performance delivered through someone else's hand. The dummy is written and voiced as the show's rudest character, and Farrow gets him uncredited, which is the kind of detail that makes Nickelodeon trivia worth having.
For him on camera, Drake & Josh has Gavin, and iCarly recycles the same name in a different series, a small joke shared across shows he was writing for. Henry Danger casts him as Invisible Brad, exactly as advertised. iParty with Victorious is the crossover feature and the place Rex Powers finally gets a proper credit. The shows he wrote without appearing in, Sam & Cat and Danger Force among them, are not among the credits listed here.
