Li Jun Li
Li Jun Li is an actor.
Li Jun Li was born in Shanghai and has built an American career almost entirely in series television, one recurring role at a time. The early credits are the ones nobody is meant to remember: a guest turn on Damages, a small part in Chinese Puzzle, a journalist in Song One, a nail clerk in Ricki and the Flash. That is roughly a decade of getting hired without getting a showcase.
Television handed her the showcases first. She was Meghan Leeds on The Following, Karen Sun on Blindspot, Iris Chang on Quantico, Rose Cooper on The Exorcist and Jenny Wah on Wu Assassins, and later turned up on Evil, Why Women Kill and Sex/Life. Play those back to back and a pattern appears: she is repeatedly cast as the composed one in a cast of people who are losing it, and she plays composure as an active choice rather than as a temperament.
Babylon changed the scale of the offers. As Lady Fay Zhu she takes on the hardest job in a very long film that spends most of its length shrieking, which is to underplay, and she is the one performer in it who trusts stillness. Sinners followed in 2025 with Li as Grace Chow, and she plays Cat Hardy in the 2026 series Spider-Noir. A slow build, and then a fast one.

Where to start with Li Jun Li
Two films do the arguing for her. Babylon is the first place to look, because that film is a stampede and she is the only person in it who slows down; Lady Fay Zhu is a supporting role played with more control than anyone else in the picture manages. Then Sinners, which puts her in a period ensemble again and lets her play someone holding a great deal back.
On television, Wu Assassins is the most fun she has been given, and Quantico is the most conventional use of her, which makes it a useful baseline. The Exorcist is better than its reputation and hands her real dread to work with. Completists should try Chinese Puzzle for an early sighting, and Spider-Noir is the current one, a neo-noir corner of a very familiar comics universe.
The breakthrough films
Two films four years apart finally gave her something to play. Babylon hands her a cabaret number that is the best sequence in a very long film, and Sinners is the better picture around a smaller part.
The network television decade
Before the films there were ten years of American network series, mostly as the capable one in an ensemble. Quantico and Blindspot are the biggest, and The Following is the darkest.
The genre work
The horror and action shows are where she has had the most fun. The Exorcist series is genuinely good and nobody watched it, Wu Assassins is the martial-arts one, and Spider-Noir is the recent lead.
