Megan Boone
Megan Boone is an actor, born 1983.
One job, eight years, and it defines the page. Boone was born in Petoskey, Michigan in 1983 and had the standard early-career scatter: the slasher My Bloody Valentine in 2009, a small part in Sex and the City 2, Claire in Step Up Revolution in 2012, and a recurring role in the single season of Law & Order: LA.
Then The Blacklist. She played FBI profiler Elizabeth Keen across the show's first eight seasons, from 2013 to 2021, which is a specific and thankless kind of work. The series is built around a criminal informant's charisma, and her job was to be the person he explains himself to: the audience's way in, the one who has to react convincingly to escalating nonsense week after week for eight years. She got good at it. Set her early episodes against her late ones and the difference is eight years of learning how to hold a scene you do not control.
The most interesting thing she has done outside it is Miss Lucy in The Underground Railroad in 2021, a small role in a serious piece of television, played with a courtesy that curdles as you watch it.
She appeared in an episode of Accused in 2023, and has The Internship listed here for 2026.

Where to start with Megan Boone
The Blacklist is unavoidable, and you may as well go in knowing what it is: a procedural with one enormous performance at its centre and a conspiracy plot that outstays its welcome by several seasons. Boone is the other half of that pairing, and the first two seasons are where it actually crackles.
If you want her outside the show, The Underground Railroad is the one. It is the best thing she has appeared in by a wide margin, and Miss Lucy is a small, unsettling piece of work.
The rest is early-career filling. My Bloody Valentine for the horror crowd, Step Up Revolution for the dance-movie crowd, About Cherry for the indie one. Accused in 2023 is the most recent thing here worth an hour, and The Blacklist: Redemption is for completists only.
