Michael Cimino
Michael Cimino is an actor, born 1999.
He shares a name with the director of The Deer Hunter and has nothing whatever to do with him. This Michael Cimino, born in 1999, is an actor and musician whose career so far runs almost entirely through young-adult television.
The role that matters is Victor Salazar in Love, Victor, the Hulu series spun off from the film Love, Simon. Playing a teenager working out that he is gay, in a show pitched at a mainstream family audience, requires an actor who can hold two registers at once: the surface of an ordinary sporty kid, and the constant low-level calculation underneath it. Cimino played it with an unshowy warmth that carried three seasons, and he was nominated for Imagen Awards for every one of them, winning in 2021 and 2022.
Around that he has worked the genre circuit. Bob Palmeri in Annabelle Comes Home (2019) is the horror credit, Max in the 2025 Until Dawn adaptation is another, and Lance Harrison in Senior Year is the broad comedy. He voices Kevin on Hamster & Gretel and Eduardo on Marvel's Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, and played Ethan Morales on Never Have I Ever, which is not among the credits listed here.
There is music too: a debut EP, I'm Somewhere Out There, in 2022. The recent work, Zac Torres on Motorheads and a run of streaming features, puts him in front of the standard test facing everyone who broke through as a teenager, which is whether the adult career arrives.

Where to start with Michael Cimino
Love, Victor is the whole case for him and the only sensible starting point. Watch the first season and pay attention to how much he does with silence in scenes where the writing is being obvious.
If television is not what you came for, Annabelle Comes Home is the widest-seen credit and a decent studio horror picture, though his part is supporting. Until Dawn is the recent genre swing, adapted from the video game, and Senior Year is the loud comedy where he plays the high-school big shot.
For the animation, Hamster & Gretel is the fun one and his Kevin is a genuinely good comic voice, with Marvel's Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur the better-looking show. Motorheads is the current series and the clearest signal of where he is trying to go next.
