Mike Huckabee
Mike Huckabee is an actor, born 1955.
This page exists because of television, not because of film. Huckabee is a politician: a Baptist minister, governor of Arkansas from 1996 to 2007, a candidate for the Republican presidential nomination in 2008 and again in 2016, and since 2025 the United States ambassador to Israel. The credits below are what a career like that leaves behind in an entertainment catalogue.
Most of them are appearances as himself. Fox News Sunday and Face the Nation are the Sunday-morning circuit, the formal half of the job. The Daily Show and The Colbert Report are the other half, the satirical programmes that candidates of his era worked out they had to sit down with and absorb a joke from. Huckabee was unusually comfortable there, which is a political skill rather than a performing one, though the boundary between the two got thin during the years he was running.
The scripted work is confined to Christian-market filmmaking, where he appears under his own name rather than as a character. He is also the father of Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the former White House press secretary who became governor of Arkansas in 2023.

Where to start with Mike Huckabee
If you are here for the screen work rather than the politics, there is not a great deal of it. God's Not Dead 2 is the fiction feature that gives him a scene as himself, a courtroom drama made for an audience that already agrees with its argument, and God's Not Dead: In God We Trust continues the series on identical terms. Neither is trying to convert a neutral viewer, and they are more interesting watched with that in mind than watched against it.
The talk-show credits are the better record. The Daily Show and The Colbert Report catch the period when a candidate's willingness to be teased on late night was itself a campaign tactic, while Fox News Sunday shows the straighter half of the same media operation. Poisoned: The Dirty Truth About Your Food uses him only in archive footage, as a governor rather than a guest.
