Nancy Stephens
Nancy Stephens is an actor, born 1949.
One character, four decades. Stephens played Nurse Marion Chambers in John Carpenter's Halloween in 1978 and returned to her in Halloween II in 1981, Halloween H20 in 1998 and Halloween Kills in 2021. Wikipedia lists a further return in Halloween Resurrection in 2002, which is not among the credits listed here.
Marion is the franchise's institutional voice, the professional who has to treat the situation as a case file while everyone else is reacting to it, and the part works because Stephens plays her as competent rather than frightened. It also makes her a useful measuring stick: the same actress, the same character, at four very different stages of a series that keeps restarting its own history.
The rest of the record is small. She is a stewardess in Escape from New York, another Carpenter production, a nurse in the 1987 film Russkies, and Ginny Delmore in a 1988 courtroom television film.
