Rosalía
Rosalía is an actor, born 1993.
Rosalía is a Spanish singer, songwriter and occasional actress, born Rosalia Vila Tobella near Barcelona in 1992. She encountered flamenco at fourteen and went on to study it formally at the Catalonia College of Music, graduating in 2017. El Mal Querer, her thesis project turned second album, took the structure of a thirteenth-century Occitan novel and set it to flamenco palos and modern pop production, and it made her internationally famous. Her work since has moved through reggaeton, bachata and experimental pop while keeping the vocal technique, and she has acted for Pedro Almodovar.

Where to start with Rosalía
EL MAL QUERER is the album to start with, a concept record built on a medieval Occitan novel and still her most complete work. Los ángeles is the stripped debut, voice and guitar, where the flamenco training is plainest. MOTOMAMI is the loud experimental turn and LUX the most recent, while Pain and Glory is the Almodovar film she appears in.
