Rumi Ochiai
Rumi Ochiai is an actor, born 1973.
Rumi Ochiai is a Japanese actress and voice actress from Aichi Prefecture who works with the Theatre Company Subaru. Her most durable role is Rouge the Bat, which she has voiced in the Sonic franchise since the character was introduced in Sonic Adventure 2, and which is heard here in the series Sonic X. In 2015 she took over the role of Hiroshi Nakajima in Sazae-san, following the death of Sumiko Shirakawa.
The rest of the credits gathered here come from the early 2000s: Kurenai Yuhi in Naruto, Sharona in Shaman King, Melissa in Zone of the Enders: Idolo and Cindy Fiorentino in Z.O.E Dolores, i. It is a small record, and it clusters in the years when she was appearing in the biggest shonen series going and in the animation built around Konami's mecha games.

Where to start with Rumi Ochiai
Sonic X is the pragmatic start, because Rouge the Bat is the role Ochiai has held longest and this is the place to hear the character across a full series rather than in cutscenes.
Naruto is the bigger show and the better performance. Kurenai Yuhi is pitched low and calm against a cast that spends most of its time shouting, which is a fair demonstration of her range. Shaman King belongs to the same wave of adaptations. The two Zone of the Enders pieces, Zone of the Enders: Idolo and Z.O.E Dolores, i, are for people who played the games and want the animation around them.
