Sydney Ozerov-Meyer is an actor, born 1995.
Nearly everything on this list has a body count. Born in London, Ontario in 1995 and also credited as Sydney Meyer, she has built a career almost entirely inside genre television: vampires, plagues, slashers, collapsing societies. She starred in the Netflix vampire series V Wars as Ava O'Malley and in the Shudder anthology season Slasher: Flesh & Blood, and took recurring parts in the third season of Shadowhunters as Helen Blackthorn, in Grand Army, and in the adaptation of Y: The Last Man.
The best thing she has done is not on television. Level 16 is a small, cold Canadian thriller set inside a sealed institution where girls are drilled in obedience and told nothing, and it is the one credit here that asks her for something other than reaction. Low-budget science fiction lives or fails on whether the confinement feels real, and she is part of why it does.
More recently she turned up as Grisha in the science-fiction series Beacon 23. The trajectory is steady rather than spectacular, which is worth saying plainly: genre television is one of the few places a Canadian actor can assemble a real body of work without leaving the country.

Where to start with Sydney Ozerov-Meyer
Level 16 first. It is the only feature here built as a piece of filmmaking rather than as a season of television, it runs lean, and its horror comes from the rules of the place rather than from anything jumping out. Her scenes are the ones that show what the institution has done to these girls.
After that, V Wars is the biggest role, an outbreak drama that never quite decides whether it is horror or procedural, and Y: The Last Man is the best-made show on the list even though her part in it is smaller. Beacon 23 is the mood piece, slow and deliberately strange.
Shadowhunters and Grand Army are for completists. Her Shudder slasher season is not among the credits listed here, and it is the other one genuinely worth chasing.
