Phase Five is the Marvel Cinematic Universe at its most uneven, and the ratings say so plainly. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (7.9) towers over the slate, a mission that could well be the Guardians' last, while The Marvels (5.9) and Secret Invasion (6.5) mark the low end. In between sit Thunderbolts* (7.3), which throws seven disillusioned castoffs into a death trap and forces them to face their pasts, and Agatha All Along (7.5), the rare Marvel show with a clear identity: a coven of witches heading down the Witches' Road.
Start with Guardians Vol. 3, easily the phase's best. Thunderbolts* and Agatha All Along are the sleepers worth your time; Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (6.2) and Captain America: Brave New World (6.0) are for completists. Deadpool & Wolverine (7.6) only brushes against this phase, and still delivers more fun than most of it.
