A dialogue written by Torquato Tasso between 1584-85 and published in 1587. The Neapolitan Forester (a Platonic mask of Tasso) instructs the young man from Lucca Gianlorenzo Malpiglio on the behaviors to adopt to become a good courtier. The source of the dialogue is Baldassarre Castiglione 's The Courtier, questioned and adapted to the changed times.
