Jeopardy! (1984)
Jeopardy! is a 1984 reality series created by Merv Griffin. It stars Johnny Gilbert, Alex Trebek and Ken Jennings.
The answer comes first; the contestant has to supply the question. Merv Griffin's quiz show flipped the standard format and built an institution on it, running a board of general-knowledge clues across categories that reward speed, nerve, and a well-stocked memory. For decades Alex Trebek presided with dry precision, joined over the years by champions turned hosts like Ken Jennings and by Mayim Bialik, with Johnny Gilbert's voice announcing each round.
