The closing chapter of the trilogy adapted from Sylvain Reynard's Gabriel's Inferno, published anonymously by a Canadian author. Professor Gabriel Emerson and his former student Julia Mitchell reach the point where the tension of the earlier films either resolves or breaks. The film keeps its focus tight: two people, their history, and the obstacles between the life they want and the reputations and choices trailing them. Ardent and dialogue-heavy, it plays to the audience already invested in the couple from the books and the first two parts.
