Charlie Morningstar, the chipper princess of Hell, has a plan nobody upstairs or down takes seriously: a hotel where damned souls can work toward redemption and earn their way out. Her guests are a foul-mouthed crew of demons with no real interest in self-improvement, and her funding comes from a smiling, terrifying radio host with an agenda of his own. Vivienne Medrano's musical animation runs loud and bloody and sincere, stacking show tunes and gallows humor on top of a genuine question about whether anyone is truly beyond saving.
