FROM (2022)
FROM is a 2022 mystery series created by John Griffin and Chris Tilton. It stars Harold Perrineau, Catalina Sandino Moreno and Ricky He.
People driving through rural middle America take a wrong turn and find they cannot leave. The road loops them back to a small town full of others in the same trap, all trying to hold onto some version of normal life. Then the sun goes down, and the creatures in the surrounding forest come out. The residents lock their doors against things that smile like people, ration hope, and argue over whether escape is even possible. It runs on slow-building dread and a mystery that keeps widening. Grim, eerie, and patient with its scares.

Reviews
One of those shows I went in skeptical and got properly hooked. The mystery keeps expanding instead of explaining. When it's clicking it's creepy in exactly the right way.

A few thoughts on FROM
For the same small-town dread in prose, Night shift collects Stephen King at his most quietly menacing, ordinary places turning wrong. Corpse Party delivers a similar trap in game form, a group stranded somewhere that wants to keep them.
Small towns under siege by something in the dark
FROM traps its residents in a town where the forest empties out something hungry after nightfall. These films share that under-siege dread of a small place fighting through the dark, whether the threat is vampires in the polar night, a thing in the snow, or a creature no one can quite see.
Cosmic dread where reality starts to bend
FROM keeps widening a mystery that hints at something vast and wrong beneath the surface. These stories work the same cosmic dread, where reality frays, an unseen force drives people mad, and the real horror is how little anyone understands what they are trapped inside.
Horror games that lock you in a cursed place
FROM runs on a place no one can leave and neighbors who might not survive the night. These horror games put you inside the same claustrophobic trap: a cursed school and a mountain hamlet caught in a looping nightmare where trust and survival keep collapsing.
Small-town nightmare horror in print
FROM's trapped-town nightmare has a long literary cousin. These books mine the same dread of quiet American places gone wrong: short-story chills, a witch-haunted family, and strangers who carry something monstrous into a town that thought it was safe.
