One Piece is a 1999 Japanese-language action & adventure series by Kohei Tanaka and Junki Takegami. It stars Mayumi Tanaka, Kazuya Nakai and Mari Yaguchi.
The Pirate King is dead, and the vast fortune he left behind, the One Piece, is out there for anyone bold enough to claim it. Monkey D. Luffy is a cheerful young man who ate a Devil Fruit that turned his body to rubber, and he has decided the treasure and the title of King of the Pirates belong to him. He gathers a crew of fighters, navigators, and thieves, the Straw Hats, and sets sail for the Grand Line. Adapted from Eiichiro Oda's manga, the series stretches wild adventure and broad comedy across island after island.
