Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba
Koyoharu Gotouge's Demon Slayer became a global phenomenon less for the novelty of its premise (a boy hunts demons to cure his transformed sister) than for the staggering craft ufotable poured into adapting it. The studio's animation turned the breathing-technique sword fights into some of the most kinetic, painterly action ever broadcast, and Mugen Train rode that reputation to become one of the highest-grossing films in Japanese history.
The franchise's structure is unusual. Rather than padding seasons, it parcels its arcs into theatrical compilation films and television runs that march steadily toward the manga's climax, now arriving as the Infinity Castle film trilogy. A fighting game and stage adaptations round out the edges. The clarity of the storytelling is conventional; the execution is anything but.
The Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba franchise spans 1 series, 1 games, 16 films in the CrossBinge catalog.
