Fallout
Fallout imagines the future America promised in the 1950s, then drops a nuclear bomb on it. The result is one of gaming's great settings: a retro-futurist wasteland scored to crooning jukebox standards (the Fallout 2 soundtrack is part of that DNA) where black comedy and genuine moral weight share every irradiated mile.
Born as Interplay's isometric role-playing games, the series was reborn by Bethesda in first person with Fallout 3, hit a creative peak with Obsidian's Fallout: New Vegas, then sprawled across Fallout 4's settlement-building and the online experiment of Fallout 76. The deep expansion packs (Far Harbor, Old World Blues, and the rest) are where its writing often shines brightest. Amazon's 2024 series proved the wasteland translates to prestige television without losing its gallows wit. Few worlds wear their decay this stylishly.
The Fallout franchise spans 1 series, 22 games, 1 music in the CrossBinge catalog.
