Forza is Microsoft's flagship racing series, and its smartest move was refusing to be one thing. The franchise runs on two parallel tracks that share technology but almost nothing in temperament. Forza Motorsport is the disciplined circuit simulator, obsessed with tire physics, racing lines, and the quiet ritual of shaving tenths off a lap. Forza Horizon is the loud sibling: an open-world festival that turns whole countries into a playground and treats driving as joyride rather than craft.

That split is the series' real achievement. By letting the same studio family serve both the sim purist and the casual cruiser, Forza covers a spread most racing brands have to choose between.
