Tekken

Tekken made its name on a single idea executed with obsessive depth: a 3D fighting game where every limb maps to a button and decades of lore hang on a father throwing his son off a cliff. Namco's mainline entries, from the breakthrough Tekken 3 through the current Tekken 8, refined a combat system as readable as it is bottomless, while the Tag Tournament games turned it into a team sport. The Mishima family feud spilled well past the arcade. CrossBinge gathers the films, including the 1998 anime The Motion Picture, the 2010 live-action attempt, and Blood Vengeance, plus the 2022 series Tekken: Bloodline and crossover bouts against Street Fighter and SoulCalibur. The screen adaptations rarely match the games, but the fighting engine is the genuine article, one of the few that rewards twenty years of study.

The Tekken franchise spans 1 series, 10 games, 4 films in the CrossBinge catalog.
