World of Darkness
World of Darkness began as White Wolf's tabletop answer to high-fantasy roleplaying: a gothic-punk version of our own cities where vampires run boardrooms and werewolves wage a losing war for the planet. The video games here translate that sensibility, leaning on politics, identity, and moral compromise rather than straightforward heroics.
The undisputed landmark is Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, a famously buggy, famously brilliant 2004 RPG whose writing and atmosphere earned it a cult that still argues about it today. The rest of the catalog circles the same setting from different angles, from narrative adventures and a multiplayer battle royale to a Werewolf action game, with a long-awaited sequel continuing the line. It is a franchise valued less for consistency than for the strength of its world.
The World of Darkness franchise spans 7 games in the CrossBinge catalog.
